Pictures 3

When I saw this I instantly thought penguins (duh). So here are some facts about penguins :).

How many Species?
About 18, 13 of them have declining population and 3 of them are very close to extinction.

Where Found?
They are mainly found in the southern hemisphere such as Antarctica. But they can also be found in South America, South Africa, Australia and New Zealand. Also there found on many small islands of the pacific. Although they are found all over the world if they are in captivity.

Flying?

Penguins lost the ability to fly millions of years ago, but their powerful fins and streamlined bodies make them very good swimmers. They are the fastest swimming and deepest diving species of any birds.

See underwater?

Penguins eyes work better underwater than they do in the air, giving them very good eyesight to find prey while hunting, even in cloudy, dark or murky water.
